Detailed Safari
Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi
Arrive in Nairobi, where our representative will warmly welcome you. Transfer to your hotel for an evening of rest and preparation for the adventure ahead. Overnight in Nairobi.
Day 2: Nairobi City Excursions
Begin the day with a visit to the Giraffe Centre, where you’ll enjoy close encounters with these towering creatures. Continue to the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, where rescued elephant calves are nurtured. After a delightful lunch, return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Nairobi to Tsavo East (Ithumba Hill Camp)
After breakfast, travel to Tsavo East National Park and check in at Ithumba Hill Camp in time for lunch. In the evening, visit the Ithumba stockades to witness the elephant calves’ milk feeding, an intimate and moving experience. Dinner and overnight at Ithumba Hill Camp.
Day 4: Full Day at Ithumba Hill Camp
Start the day early with coffee before heading to the stockades for the morning feeding at 6:00 am. Spend time with the elephants before returning for breakfast. Later, visit the mud bath where the elephants enjoy playful splashes and another feeding. After lunch and leisure, return to the stockades for the evening feeding. Dinner and overnight at Ithumba Hill Camp.
Day 5: Ithumba Hill Camp to Galdessa Camp
After breakfast, drive through Tsavo East’s stunning landscapes to Galdessa Camp. After lunch, embark on a game drive en route to the Voi stockades to watch another enchanting elephant interaction. Meals and overnight at Galdessa Camp.
Day 6: Full Day at Galdessa Camp
Enjoy an early morning game drive to Voi mud baths, arriving in time to watch elephants and other wildlife indulge in the cooling waters. After lunch, relax at camp or take an optional evening game drive to explore the area’s rich biodiversity. Dinner and overnight at Galdessa Camp.
Day 7: Galdessa Camp to Umani Springs
After breakfast, travel to Umani Springs in Kibwezi Forest, a serene oasis nestled in lush greenery. Enjoy lunch and some leisure time before walking to the Umani stockades to meet more rescued elephants. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Full Day at Umani Springs
Rise early for coffee and head to the stockades for the morning feeding. Return to camp for breakfast, then visit the mud bath at mid-morning to see the elephants enjoy their midday routine. Spend the afternoon at leisure before heading back to the stockades for an intimate evening feeding session. Dinner and overnight at Umani Springs.
Day 9: Umani Springs to Nairobi
After a leisurely breakfast, bid farewell to the forest and return to Nairobi. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to the airport to catch your flight home, carrying unforgettable memories of Kenya’s conservation efforts and the majestic elephants you encountered.
