Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi

Touch down in Nairobi, the vibrant capital of Kenya. After a warm welcome, transfer to your hotel for a restful evening. Nairobi, meaning “cool waters” in Maasai, serves as the gateway to East Africa’s adventures.
Overnight: Nairobi Serena Hotel (Bed and Breakfast)

Day 2: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park

Travel south to Amboseli National Park, famed for its majestic backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. Embark on an afternoon game drive, taking in the park’s vast open plains and abundant wildlife.

Day 3: Full Day in Amboseli

Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives, where you’ll spot elephants, lions, and other wildlife. Don’t miss the panoramic views from Observation Hill and sundowner moments set against Africa’s tallest mountain.

Day 4: Amboseli – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Cross the Kenya-Tanzania border and proceed to Arusha for lunch. Continue your journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, arriving in time to watch the sunset over the crater rim.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Exploration

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site teeming with wildlife, including rhinos, elephants, and flamingos. After a picnic lunch, visit Olduvai Gorge, the cradle of humanity, before heading to Serengeti National Park.

Days 9 & 10: Maasai Mara

Immerse yourself in the wonders of the Maasai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. Visit the Mara River, a key crossing point during the Great Migration, and marvel at the dynamic interplay between predator and prey.

Day 11: Maasai Mara – Lake Elementaita

Drive to Lake Elementaita, a serene retreat along the sapphire-blue shoreline. Spend the afternoon at leisure, enjoying the tranquil ambiance and incredible birdlife.

Day 12: Lake Nakuru National Park

Explore Lake Nakuru National Park, home to thriving populations of white and black rhinos, giraffes, and waterbucks. After a picnic lunch in the park, return to Lake Elementaita for a relaxing evening.

Day 13: Aberdare National Park

Arrive at Aberdare National Park’s tree lodge, where you’ll watch wildlife gather at a floodlit waterhole and salt lick. Experience the unique ambiance of a lodge nestled in the treetops.

Days 14 & 15: Samburu National Reserve

Journey north to Samburu, a reserve known for its unique wildlife, including Grevy’s zebras, reticulated giraffes, and Somali ostriches. Relax at your riverside camp and enjoy game drives in this rugged wilderness.
Meals and Overnight: Samburu Intrepids Camp (Full Board)

Day 16: Samburu – Nairobi

Return to Nairobi, where an optional visit to the Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage awaits. End your safari with a farewell dinner at the Talisman Restaurant before transferring to the airport for your onward flight.

Safari Includes:

  • Full board accommodation while on safari.
  • Bed and breakfast in Nairobi and day room use on the last day
  • Self-catering at Ithumba camp.(All meals included)
  • Soft drinks, local beers at the Ithumba camp.
  • All fees for the visits at the Daphne Sheldrick elephant sanctuary.
